Heineken plans to finish sale of Russian business until June
MOSCOW, Feb 22 (PRIME) -- Dutch beer brewing giant Heineken plans to withdraw from Russia and finish the sale of its local assets until June, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The company is doing everything possible to sell its Russian business to local buyers, and expects to suffer a financial loss of around 300 million euros from the withdrawal. Heineken has not received any funds or dividends from the Russian business, the company pointed out.
The company is concerned with media reports saying that the company had broken its promise to leave Russia. Heineken wants to withdraw from the country in the right way by complying with obligations on the withdrawal and obligations to its employees.
